Oooh... well , im always up for making it run better. Ill look into the best suited modern replacement. If i recall the 009 is ok but not the best.

Thought id just post an update , Its been running ok since the float issue was sorted. Also upgraded the accelerator cable bodge to what i believe to be the correct mechanism.. replacement accelerator cable was a bit of a dog to get through the condiit near the front. Alot of swearing bit it did go....

Just a little update. So it would appear .... Most of my weber 34 dat issues were the float. Pretty sure the needle was getting stuck open. Also suffering blocked idle jet.... So , Carb apart again here. Fault .... Dove 60 miles , all fine. Drove back 50 miles, then ... Stalling at roundabouts etc. Eg when idling. And only able to drive on secondary. Otherwise kangaroo..
