Re: Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
Hopefully and thanks for your help Robsey, Winter will be dash out time for the blower fix, I reckon it's just seized as probably had little to no use in SA. It was stressful not being my skill set but it starts and runs. I think I plugged the AC back in wrong as it doesn't blow now (not that it was...

Re: Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
Ok, so all spade connectors replaced.
Still no wipers, but if I do the work around they appear a bit faster.
Not sure where to go now

Re: Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
An update,
The crowns where very well secure.
No corrosion/rust in sight. Everything just looked a bit old.
Polished the crowns shiny, now doing all spade connectors but ran out of light. Hopefully the weekend will be another turn of the key to see if the problem is solved....

Re: Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
Consensus is they are hanging the earth terminals on inspection. I'll replace all and report back

Re: Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
Nothing is easy with this van I must say!
By the ground wires do you mean the earth crowns?
The earth crowns look ok, if a tiny bit dusty.
Is there something else I should be checking?

Re: Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
It appeared to,
I'm going to get a known working one just to double check and report back.
I gather I'm into a world of pain if it is working?

Re: Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
Hi Robsey, So maybe another quirk with my van is that it has a push button start between the 2 diff's! You turn the ignition on all the way push the button and presto fires into life on the button everytime. I got someone to listen closely to the relay and it clicks on then on cranking (pushing the ...

Re: Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
Thanks for the response Robsey,
I took the relay out, it looks fine. The inside also looks good.
Could it be dead without it being obvious? It's a genuine Hella but probably original at a guess

Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only
Hello all, I'm trying to find the cause of my current challenge as per the title "Wipers work but only by pulling the indicator stalk back with headlights on only" Under the dash the wiring is questionable. Earth crowns are good Pins for the relays and inside are immaculate I have looked a...

Re: Water ingress in cab
Tracked it down, It's pissing down the 1/4 light front window (non opening). The black gasket extends into the door. I also found quite a build up of silt and crap in the bottom of the door. I've rigged up a hosepipe and packed the window out to the scrapers (they have seen better days). Awaiting r...

Re: Water ingress in cab
Should you need it? This is what you want to go between the glass and rubber. https://i.imgur.com/k4aGAdG.jpg Thanks Rob, I definitely need a tube of this. Some more developments I pulled the carpet back a couple of days ago to see if I could track it and it has of course rained so I have had cha...
