Working on railway we mainly use AFFF apart from in cabs of the newer trains where powder is king. Try local motor factors, my local one had a paddy hopkirk dog guard thingy a year or two back, only cost about £20, halfords wanted £30 or thereabouts at the time for the exactly the same thing!

I've looked at DVB-t via a cardbus on me laptop, the antennas provided for that were pants! I was thinking more on the lines of an aerial on't roof, with a co ax plug in the van, more permanant and no messing around with equipment and wires all the time you see.
