Has Anyone Bought New Door and Tailgate Seals which FIT?

Hi Guys Help! I want to buy and fit new Cab Door and Tailgate seals. Recent threads started by Silver Bullet (Cab Door Seals...) and Midlife Crisis (Tailgate not sitting straight after fitting new seal) point to a big problem in getting suitable ones. :( Seals by Vewib (Brickwerks) appear to ...

Re: Which Windscreen Washer Pump?

Thanks Steve I think I'll go with JK. It has the correct part number and is also a known make -Febi. It might also last longer than 6 months! Cheers! Pete Ps. Re your question in another thread. Yes, JK do have their own part nos. I do feel that some people have some bias against JK!? I wait to be p...

Which Windscreen Washer Pump?

Hi Guys I need a new windscreenwasher pump. Old one has part no. 251 955 651 stamped on it. BW and Heritage both quote front washer pumps but part no. 431 955 651 quite cheap! JK has this one listed as a rear washer pump, cheap and the 251 955 651 at 3 times the price. :( Should I go with JK? What's...

Re: Dimdip Causing a Problem? Newbie

Hi Andy The 3 extra relays are dip left, dip right, and full beam both. Dip left and right probably triggered through the dimdip resistor. Looks professionally installed. Will leave (resistor disconnected) for now - coolant level warning circuit takes priority - the switch is open circuit and the co...

Thanks Mr. Bean. Very interesting. I'll make one inspection hole and see if mine's the same.

Re: Dimdip Causing a Problem? Newbie

The GB lighting diagram is also here as a PDF:   http://syncrosport.com/info/wiring Regarding the relays listed: Position 3, #42 - Coolant shortage control unit - Normal fitment Hi Andy Interesting, in Cybil #42 is in location 4 which is listed as a 'spare' location. I wonder if the coolant level c...

Re: Dimdip Causing a Problem? Newbie

Thanks for all your interest. There's absolutely no doubt that the dip lights are just as bright in the sidelight switch position as in the the headlamp position. Just rechecked. Disconnecting the resistor solves the problem (no dimdip at all). Resistance is 0.99 ohms. Anyone know what it should be?...

Re: Dimdip Causing a Problem? Newbie

Hi Andy Thaks for your reply I feel sure that there are no additional relays based on vehicle history and dim headlights. Where would they be? I also like the idea of dimdip so don't want to make a permanent disconnection. I'm assuming it's easy to temporarily pop the 56D connection out of the plug?...

Dimdip Causing a Problem? Newbie

Hi Guys Cybil has just sailed through her MOT. But tester say I need to fix a problem with the sidelights. Simply, with ignition on, sidelights on, I have full diplights as well. He thought it was a switch problem. However the switch checks out fine, but is the 9 pin one with a 56D connection - so I...

Cover for External Luggage Compartment over Cab

Hi Guys My 1990 Holdsworth Villa 3 Poptop has a luggage compartment above the cab. Currently this fills with rain water because a previous owner has filled the drain holes with plastic padding. (Would anyone like to tell me why?) It occurs to me that a fitted fibreglass cover would keep the rain out...

Re: Fridge Repair

Hi Guys Perhaps I can add a bit of information. I recently had my fridge out for a clean/service, turn upside down and shake it all about, etc. 1. I park at home on a slope. The fridge (Dometic RM212) won't work on gas or mains in that situation. 2. The adjustable thermostat is only for the mains su...

Using the Leisure Battery for Starting.

Hi Guys My daughter is out in Cybil at the moment and complained of slow starting. If there is a battery problem, is there any reason why she shouldn't link the leisure battery + to + using the jump leads that Cybil always carries? Batteries are the same type. Cheers! Pete 1990 T25 Holdsworth Villa ...
