Re: idle shut of valve rubber seal
Hi, were you able to source the seal at all please. I could do with one, am thinking of using nitrile (fuel resistant) rubber hose. I couldn’t find one when I looked recently, I used a piece of hose too, worked a treat , looks like the seal is counted as part of the solenoid Great, by my reckoning ...

Hi, it isn't an o ring, it's a rubber collar, around 5mm deep.

Re: Cutting Out Question
3 filters? Should be one by the tack and the conical screen on the inlet, if you have another its none standard but unlikly to be the culprit. As per your othe thread, may be worth seaking out a blanking bung to at least rule out the solenoid. it's an easy device to check the general operation on ...

Re: Cutting Out Question
fuel pump, filter, pourus lines, fule screen on carb, crud in the tank outlet. the shutoff as you know. if a sniff of easy start gets it going then your already on the right lines with a fuel issue. Thanks for reply. When I discovered the carb cleaner down the idle jet trick at the roadside was the...

Re: Fuel Cut Off Solenoid
Thank you Rob, will do.
Does anyone know how these function please. I've tested it on the bench and I expected the holes to become completely see through, but the inner rod only seems to move a little bit to open up tiny gaps where the holes are.

Fuel Cut Off Solenoid
Hi, I assume the fuel cut off solenoid on the 2e3 just unscrews to remove? And can be done with carb in place. Thank you.

Re: Fuel Return Question
Thank you for replying. Sorry I was slightly misleading, I took the feed pipe off the pump, and I can easily blow into the tank, nice bubbling sound. But the return pipe has me red in the face trying to blow down it.

Fuel Return Question
Hi, when I take the inlet fuel pipe off the carb and blow down it, it's easy and I can hear bubbling in the tank, seems normal.
But with the return pipe it's very difficult to blow down, a lot of resistance and no bubbling. Is this normal please? Thank you.

Cutting Out Question
Hi, when I break down, which happens randomly but frequently, the only thing which starts the van again is spraying carb cleaner down the idle jet.
Any idea what's going on here please? Thank you.
