Fuel Return Question

Post by pbar »

Hi, when I take the inlet fuel pipe off the carb and blow down it, it's easy and I can hear bubbling in the tank, seems normal.

But with the return pipe it's very difficult to blow down, a lot of resistance and no bubbling. Is this normal please? Thank you.

No, it should be easy to blow down.
Are you sure you don't have the pipes mixed up? if you blow down the feed pipe, the fuel pump will stop any reverse flow

Thank you for replying. Sorry I was slightly misleading, I took the feed pipe off the pump, and I can easily blow into the tank, nice bubbling sound. But the return pipe has me red in the face trying to blow down it.
