Davefriday - will check out hot start relay option - will this work with low voltage on the end of trigger wire or does the relay by pass this problem? thanks anyway but my question still stands - how do i replace trigger wire?

Re: Fuel Pump?
Not been on here for ages but had same exp as you guys.. Think it was at least 2 new diaphram pumps I fitted and one pushrod. It was never a reliable system - when the van was left for a long period of time it took ages to crank over before got fuel at the carb. One breakdown was when the pivot pin ...

Re: Carbs/Pump/Filter getting clogged
I had this problem and got to the point where i didnt want to drive the van long distances in case the familiar lurching appeared. Finally replaced the fuel tank this year and fitted an electric fuel pump just to be sure as the mechanical one took ages to prime if van stood for a while. All good now...

Re: Rear wheel hub question!
Looks ok to me from when I have rebuilt my hubs. That small amount of shiny metal left by contact from lip seal is visible due to a small amount of bearing slop allowing axial movement in drive shaft...

Re: Fiamma Sun Canopy or Caravanstore roll out awning
+1 on fiama pull out awning - just make sure you peg the feet and rope the top in anymore than a light breeze, first time I used mine it flipped right over the hitop roof
fortunately no significant damage

Electric fuel pump on 1.9DG
Hi Owned current van 1.9 DG for 7-8 years and almost every fault I have had has been fuel related - dirt or fuel pump. Am now on 3rd (GSF) pump after 2nd fell apart en route to Swiss hols last year (replaced pushrod last year too) , had blocked jets on way back even though fuel filter changed yearly...

Re: Radius arm bushes replacement
Hi did mine - later ones tho last year. Plusgas penetrating oil on all bolts for a few days beforehand. Use a quality open ended spanner (& lump hammer) as you dont want to round off the nuts. Even with all this I needed to use a a blowtorch (heat is your friend  ) to free off the rod into...

Re: MOT fail - CO high & hazards
Thanks Martin - I have found idle adjusting screw in exploded view in Haynes manual, will check it out tomorrow, but... I have vague recollection that there is a plastic plug stopping any adjustment - or did I just dream it??

Re: MOT fail - CO high & hazards
Thanks guys for replies - but mine is 1.9dg not 2.1 which I think has additional sensor gubbins to go wrong. As far as I know the Pierburg has nothing to twiddle to alter mixture (unless someone knows differently).... sooo what should I check / change? CO is 4.86 v max limit 3.5. Am thinking usual -...
