Re: urgent engine needed
finally an update... we had a few (!) teething troubles with the 1st engine we got, leading to it seizing after 9 miles the day we picked it up, and 3 weeks after the original engine blew. the jury is still out as to whether it was a problem with the recon engine or how it was fitted, and I doubt we...

Just to keep you all posted we ended up getting the one from the vw engine company. Bit more expensive but good reviews on the site and they seemed to know what they are on about. Time was at a premium as van in garage and we need it sorted and broken in for trip to France in June. It arrived yester...

Hence trip home on truck and now van none functional in our street. It looks like something has come loose in the e...

IMG_0148 2.JPG IMG_0146.JPG IMG_0508.jpg Here are some photos showing the rust in the footwell (below the puddle of water) and the current seal around the windscreen. It looks fine and there are no obvious leaks but from reading the wiki pages it seems there is likely to be a leak underneath and as...

Re: Bodywork restoration Merseyside or northwest
Great thanks, thanks for the links we will look them up. Trusting this kind of thing to someone else always feels like a bit of a leap of faith but we are just really stuck on time at the moment & dreading it all getting worse while we sit on it. Cheers!

Bodywork restoration Merseyside or northwest
we are based in Liverpool and would like some help with repairing a suspected leak around the windscreen of our van. We would love to do it ourselves but with limited time and facilities and time we were hoping to find a local vw enrhusiast garage who could help us out with fixing this, +/- undersea...

Re: UPHOLSTERY in the NorthWest
We have just had our panel van fitted out by the campershak (http://www.thecampershak.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) based in ormskirk. Cannot recommend them enough, very professional and clearly very passionate about what they do and reasonable prices, not trying to...

Re: replacement cab sunroof tintop panel van
Thank you for that. Our van has gone on to have the back fitted out as a camper but have decided to leave the cab well alone. We will have another look at the sunroof when we get it back in Feb. Thanks again!

There is a sunroof in the cab which has been sealed shut due to a leak by the previous owner and we would like to get it to open (and re-seal it) or replace it but I can't seem to find a any replace...
