Re: T25 1980 1600 CT Carburettors
FYI: Just fitted a twin Weber ICT 34 setup for a Type 3 engine from Delorto/Eurocarb. Had to modify the kit a bit. They sent me the longer throttle link bars and bigger balancing bar mounts otherwise it would have fouled the oil cooler on this Type 1 engine. Had to modify them as they would have hit...

T25 1980 1600 CT Carburettors
Hi guys Currently have a Solex PICT 4 carb on the van but it either needs a good service or replacing. I've looked all over the place for options and found some kits but they do not specify if they will fit or not, and no reply from suppliers. Is there a tried and tested optional kit or carb that wi...

Re: diesel dipstick tube broken?
Hello, I have a problem with the dipstick tube also, it has sheared where the stub at the end fits into the engine. Can you buy these new anymore?
Even though I fitted a new washer to it, it would not seal. There was none on it before hand.

Re: What are these external bits?
Just to confirm:

As you all probably guessed, it's a power inlet point

I already tried the usual search methods. But knowing what to search for is why I posted here! Thanks.

Re: What are these external bits?
You would both be correct! The reason I ask is I wanted to replace them as they are all worn and vulcanised. Any suggestions lads?

Re: better braking wanted
Thanks guys, that's brilliant info. I need to go check the van and take a few snaps of what's under the dash and the pedal box. Good to know the vacuum point is there and I won't need to change that part as well!
Once I get my head around it I will be looking for some parts

Re: better braking wanted
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I am looking at helping a mate upgrade his 1980 T25 1.6 (non-servo spec) brakes. I am thinking I can fit the servo system from a 2.0L spec and maybe upgrade to the BMW servo as well for an instant boost to braking? Not sure if these lower spec ones had the vacuum ...

T25 > Upgrading the braking system on 1.6L Petrol
As above, I am helping a friend with upgrading the non servo system on his 1980 Camper. It is the 1.6 version which came with the non servo brakes. the 2.0L appears to have the servo system. I wanted to ask if it is a straight forward upgrade or not, and what would be required? Is there a vacuum fee...
