Re: Possible air lock in fuel line/ pump T25 1998 (diesel)

Definitely sounds like a filter problem originally anyway, I had the same symptoms before. You do need to prime a new filter like Oldie said. You can get a primer pump in Screwfix if you need one or if your really stuck suck the fuel through on the return side of the filter (had to do this on the Co...

If your in Ireland there is vwspares.ie, air-cooled-parts.com or vantopia.ie . I am in Ireland as well and I use those three of I need parts and haven't been let down yet by them and the owners all seem nice and very clued in if you contact them.

Re: Sliding door latch

Oh that’s a good idea,I will give it a go. I found some bungee cord in the back of a cupboard so I just used that there in a test run and it seemed to work as well. Just tied the upper roller to the passenger headrest.

Sliding door latch

Hi all, Just a quick question really. My sliding door latch keeps unlatching, particularly if going around a roundabout at speed or along bumpy roads. Even if the door is on a locked position One of the screw is missing from the latching mechanism on the sliding door so that's the problem. But, I'm ...

Re: Roof cover.

How have I been so thick, of course just get a tarp. That's me trying to overcomplicate things as usual :D . Thanks for that, gonna look up one now. Hopefully won't even need it but it's just a useful thing to have just in case. Weather was brutal in France last year and the drop used get to me at l...

Roof cover.

Hi all, wondering if anyone knows if something I'm thinking of exists  . Bringing big blue to Scotland this year for about 3 weeks end of July into August. I am definitely expecting rain which is grand, nothing to different to here in Ireland, but I have a mystery leak that conveniently enough ...

Re: Lower Ball Joint Removal

I had a similar issue last year and ended up just bringing the knuckle to a local mechanic and asked him to press it out. He had it done in about 10 mins after me spending about 4 hours of doing similar to you. If that's an option I would try that, think of it this way, would you pay 30 quid to not ...

Re: Front passenger grease cap keeps coming off...

I only used this method the other day to get off a stubborn cap and it worked a treat. Get a claw hammer and put the claw part against the rim of the grease cap. The hammer head will then be fixed against the wheel so give the hammer handle a few taps upwards and the cap came away nicely.

Re: Oil leaking, probably from around the injectors

I had a leak for ages that i always thought was oil and similar to you the underside of the oil sump, thought it was leaking around the dipstick but it was actually coolant from a pipe where the clip wasn't positioned correctly, causing the pipe to be slightly askew where coolant could drip out when...

Re: should your wheels spin freely

Had a similar problem recently, front and rear wheel not spinning freely. Rear wheel I took off the drum and gave it a good clean with the wire brush and that solved that problem. In the front wheel I ended up changing the bearing (on both sides just to keep them the same even though only one wheel ...

Re: Can't get into first gear

Hey Sarran,

Really appreciate that offer if we are close to you. We are in Crozon at the moment until the 19th and then just for mental comfort we are going to head back towards roscoff until the 8th as we can't get an earlier ferry.
