Re: My 1.9 dg on lpg needs a new engine..where should I go

Gingertel whereabouts in West Sussex? I'm near Haywards Heath. What year DG motor is it? Early or late one?
Most probably worth fixing, they are one of the best engines, especially when running a well sorted LPG system (stands back and waits for dissent!)

Re: Gearbox fill plug removal

The taper is barel...

@fairwynds, any chance of some pics as they are now. Interested to see how they've 'aged'? Cheers. Hi, What2d, sorry for delay in getting this posted, took pic a while back then completely forgot to do anything with it! This shows the condition of the galvanising after approx 3-4 years. I wash them...

Re: Replacement Panel Quality and Fit?

When I see threads like this I'm inspired to get myself on a welding course at the local engineering college! Can't take the place of an experienced professional I know, but nonetheless it might make owning my van long term a little less daunting at times?! Hmmmmmm, goes off to google courses..... :ok

Re: Childs hammock over front seats ? Help

Don't have young kids, just use it for extra storage space when camping. I have since kept the U shaped clip separate, so ta...

Re: Spare Wheel Storage

Mine will be going on my Hitop roof as soon as the interior is finished. Ive reinforced the existing 'ribs' in the roof moulding from both inside and outside, so hope to have a very strong base to work on.... In meantime, I also have the spray gunk stuff on board!

Quite possibly, yes. They take upwards of 18 litres of the pink coolant you mentioned (G12... Now called G13!). It can be a bugger to bleed if the garage aren't familiar with the intricacies of the w/c plumbing! Best follow the above advice re the WIKI way of doing it. Also, check your thermostat......
