Which adhesive is best for my roof
Hi everyone, I have a need to stick my high-top roof back onto my van and was wondering if anyone could advise which adhesive would be the best/ most appropriate? Just to give some context, I have replaced the gutter down one side of the van as it was horribly rotten so have lifted the roof to reach...

Re: Fuse box terminal
Thanks for the info! Here is a pic of the connector in question - it is snapped but I have put the two pieces together in the pic. I have often thought of putting a relay in the line but wasn't sure if it was asking for more trouble - think I will now! Once I have the cable connected back to the fus...

Re: Fuse box terminal
Thanks again for the help. I removed the terminal from the plastic block fine - a tiny screwdriver to depress the tang on either side worked fine. However as the terminal was crimped to the cable so well I had no chance of taking it off! Basically I just want to replace it and put the new one on the...

Re: Fuse box terminal
It's just the white connector in the back of the fuse box, and yes I'd like to just replace the terminal inside! Thanks itchyfeet, at least I know I have another option!

Re: Fuse box terminal
Thanks for the replies. Jeff, unfortunately it's not a spade connector - wish it were! Thanks for the suggestion itchyfeet, if I can't source anything I'll try them. I might grad a couple of non locking female bullet terminals and try and secure it to the block so it doesn't pop off. Another thought...

Fuse box terminal
Hi everyone, I'm trying to source a replacement terminal for the black and red starter trigger wire as it leaves the fusebox. It is a late fusebox and the connector in question is D24 in the haynes manual. I need to replace the trigger wire and can't reuse the female terminal already connected to th...

Ignition Switch Spade Connectprs
Hi, can anyone tell me where I can get some replacement locking spade connectors for the cables in the black plug into the ignition switch? And what size they might be? I'm trying to source some but uncertain If I'm looking at the right sizes.
Thanks a lot,
Nick

Re: Help replacing starter trigger wire
Well, I put a temporary line between the battery and starter trigger spade and it cranked every time without fail. This seems to confirm my suspicion about the trigger wire being past its best. Which brings me back to the issue of wiring into the fuse box. Does anyone have any advice on the best way...

Re: Help replacing starter trigger wire
When you say splice in a temporary trigger wire, do you mean stick a spade connector onto the end of a long wire, attach it to the starter then touch the other end directly to the battery and see if it cranks? I do feel like I've been going round in circles with this issue a bit. Just want to get it...

Re: Help replacing starter trigger wire
Oh, and yes bigherb, it is a late fusebox. I'm in a 1988 dg 1.9 autohomes 2 berth! Bloody love it! Will have a look at that tool. Does it remove it in such a way that I can put a new connector on the wire and stick it back in?
