Re: Re-fitting skylight advice please
Last one I did had timber battens under the fibreglass for the screws to fix to. I would use sikaflex on it, not silicone, adhesive properties are amazing. HTH, Bri

Re: Dog Guards
Know what you mean, we have 2 greyhounds and they love to stand in the gap between the seats and watch the world go by (and get in the way of handbrake, gears etc)(and breath their smelly breath on me, and slobber up my left leg). I'll be watching this post with interest. Bri

Dash vents- how remove?
I’ve got my new tacho and am ready to mount it on top of the fixed airvent on top of dash, between instruments and quarter light. I want to take vent out to do the drilling etc but try as I might I can’t get it out. Can anyone advise how to get it out? Or have a pic of the fixings so I know what I a...

Re: What jack do you have?
More measurements- my rear cross member is 10.5" off the floor, tyre is about 4.5" high at normal inflation. So with tyre flat, jack would need to be about 6" to fit under. Then raise to 15" to get spare on. Front cross member is 12.5" off the floor. I didn't measure height ...

Re: headlamp relay mod
This is what mine ended up looking like. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t38/baj25/headlampmod.jpg The aluminium angle is sikaflexed to the air duct next to fuse box. It could equally be pop rivetted on I guess. Before fixing it down, mount the relays (I used button head M5 screws to reduce risk ...

Re: What jack do you have?
Part 1 of answer to my own question- 15" is needed to get rear off ground. I stuck a tape measure under while my tyres were being changed at weekend. I'l have a look at min height when I get chance. Bri

Martin, that's exactly how I read it, absolutely not trying to contradict anything you said (I've seen your posts and you know what you are about), just elaborating to try to help OP get sorted. Quiet morning in work so forums are keeping me going. cheers, bri

Re: Which amp wire between charger and leisure battery
The moulded cable type always seem to have cable on the small side. I prefer these below (hope link works). See how the connection is recessed? If a connection came apart, much less chance of anything grounding by accident. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190606152736?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=...

Re: Which amp wire between charger and leisure battery
Yes, sorry not to be clear. Lower fuse rating is generally safer as components that it is protecting will heat up less in the event of a fault. Blue crimps are typically used on 2.5mm2 cable. Rating depends on spec, but the best stuff is tri-rated which can handle 30A. Personally, I would use 4mm2 o...

Re: Which amp wire between charger and leisure battery
30A is typical. Some go as high as 40A, depends on other parts in the system. Lower is safer. HTH, Bri
