Re: Fuel Pump??
Not sure what type but think it's electric. Fuel gauge show a quarter of a tank but put some more in today and still no luck. I poured some directly into the carb and it started, so I'm assuming from that there's a blockage or the pump is failing. Given the noise it's making, I'm going for the later...

Fuel Pump??
Hi, having problems starting my van. The fuel pump is making a really loud knocking sound, so I presume it's not working properly (it's never been that loud before). Are they easy to replace?

Re: Captains seat armrests - need advice please
Quick update, eventually found some captain seats and now have them installed. It was a 10 minute job, they just slid the old one straight off the runners and slide the new ones in.
A great upgrade and makes driving even more relaxing.
Old seats are now going on ebay.

Re: Stuck door
Thanks for the info, Metalmick8y I hope you get yours sorted too. Feel bad if it's broken! I thought the best way would be to take the door card off and try to get my hand in. I'll have a play at the weekend. For info though the door is stuck solid and won't move forward or backward, there is a litt...

Re: Captains seat armrests - need advice please
Hi,
What type of captains seats did you fit? Were they original T25 ones? I want to put some in my van but they seem to be very rare, any advise on what's the easiest ones to fit (still finding my way around a tool bag)

Re: New Engine
Hi, Thanks for the replies, the current engine is leaking oil from the bottom end somewhere and I can't pin point it. Also it is throwing out an oily mess from the exhaust all over the back of the van. Whilst its done us proud this summer we want to use it extensively next year and would prefer to k...

Re: Help! Gearbox linkage broken
Yep all rubbers still on there. A lost nut would explain it a little more as nothing seems to be broken, should be able to get a proper look under there tomorrow and see what's happened. Thanks for the replies and offers of help, if I get stuck tomorrow I'll be in touch.

Re: Help! Gearbox linkage broken
We're in Trimley St Martin, just near the Hand in Hand pub. I will pop to GSF in Ipswich today to see if I can order the new part. UPDATE Just spoken to VW Heritage and they pointed me to this part : http://www.vwheritage.com/vw_spares_Joint-gear-shaft-T25-all-7-82-1-6-2-0-12-10-251711219_act_shop.p...

Re: Help! Gearbox linkage broken
Have edited, hopefully that will help.
It's the part where the rod connects on to the gearbox.

Help! Gearbox linkage broken
Our van Betty has broken, the linkage from the gear selector and gearbox has broken. We are due to go to Alive and V-Dubbin on Friday so I need a new one fitted ASAP.
Firstly where's the best place to get one from and secondly how easy are they to fit?
Any help is greatly appreciated
