Re: Brake pipe making and fitting
Just went back to the Tpiece at the back of the van, like you say they've all got M10x1 =11mm nuts, except the one exiting left from the Tpiece has a 10mm head? Bit weird, ordered new M10's, see how we get on this week when they arrive, will update this post with my findings,

Re: Brake pipe making and fitting
I tried 10mm on the crusted unions, wouldn't fit, 11mm fits, when my local garage made me the small 4/5" pipes on the calipers he asked if it was standard 11mm Union nuts, which is what's on my van? Just double checked and i do have 11mm Union nuts on the Caliper copper pipe from the flexi and ...

Re: 1984 1.9dg Head Gasket problem!!
After all this doing the head Gasket wasn't really that difficult, I might add that before I bought my van I've only ever really done things like Brake pads or exhausts and suspension replacements, this job seemed beyond me in my mind but, as long as you follow advice, have a Haynes manual, are prep...

Re: Cylinder Head Bolts?
It's ok, bacon roll and YouTube viewed, new green cylinder liner gasket on.
Just gonna finish cleaning the cylinder head now as it's a bit old lookin, clean that off, then start applying the sealants and get Torque'ing, I've heard not to use the Click type Torque bar? But it's the only one I have?

No Kev I haven't, I'm still cleaning everything thus far and not yet put the head back on.
Also. You get a large and small tube of sealant with the kit, no instructions (lol) which tube goes where, gonna look at YouTube again after ma bacon roll.

Cylinder Head Bolts?
Hiya folks, I'm at a crossroads.
I've replaced the Head Gaskets and I'm wondering whether or not to replace the Long Head Bolts or?
Also, do I need to adjust the Tappets or will it be at a different setting bc of the New gaskets etc?
It's 1.9 dg petrol, wc, 84 manual
Advice appreciated
