Had a similar problem in mine but I've got a trumatic heater. The battery was OK for the lights but not enough power for the heater. Check you have turned on the gas feed then start your engine. Try the heater again. Worked for me. We found a fault finder on-line for the trumatic which explained the...

On my Westy, I remove the external exhaust vent cover (4 screws) then the exhaust (3 screws), job done if all the internal ones have been removed

Have you disconnected the gas feed pipe and the exhaust?

Cheers Patrick. When I press the gas button at the top of the fridge there is no clicking sound. Still no sound when I press the round button. No ignition. ??????

Where abouts are you? Twickenham?
Pressing the button, can't hear any clicking and perhaps hearing the gas is wishful thinking. I'm near Twickenham Green

Hob is working and have tried all the valve positions and the tank has gas in. Think I can hear the gas coming through as well but it won't ignite.
Anything else I should consider?
