I have changed the rear wheel bearings so had the cv joints off before so hopefully not too bad .........................

Clutch slipping
We have a B reg 1984 1.9 dg Caravelle, the clutch started to slip and now has gone. I have changed clutches on my Aircooled splitty before but not on the T3 Watercooled. In the splitty its easy to drop the engine out and replace te clutch. Anyone have any experience / advice on the best way to do th...

Bearing not been seated properly? Spacer out of kilter? Rob I think it is after tightening road wheel wont move, they have been got off and put back, is that right gazmate? Sorry for the late replies Ive been away to European Bug-in (hence the getting the bus ready) had to jump in with friends at the last moment as had the issues with the wheel baring. ...

never done the rear bearings on a T25 before but done them on cars before so thought how hard can it be??? was a little bit more involved than i was expecting. replaced the rear offside ones first......... no problem happy days replaced the near side ones second but the hub nut has done up too tight...

update, right the list:
found at least 1 vacume pipe completely perrished (all changed)
fuel pump rod slightly shorter than it should be (changed)
and a carb rebuild kit fitted
and a new ht lead set
now running sweet!!

been out there playing with it tryed the crb cleaner trick but its not having it at all? Starts on the key everytime but just wants to cut out all the time and you have to rev it to keep it going. wondering if its the diaphragm in the carb? wondering if i just get one of the rebuild kits on brickwor...

HI When I first had my van I had very similar symptoms, found out that the vacuum pipe leading from the carb to the air filter was collapsing when the engine warmed up. I have since changed all of my vacuum pipes for some silicon ones. Cheep fix if this is what it turns out to be. Nic Only thing is...
