Handbrake sticking on !
Id adjusted the handbrake for the MOT, all working fine for a week or two. Released the handbrake yesterday only to find out that the rear brakes were locked on and the cables were pulled very tight even with the lever released. Obviously I got under, released the nut several times and got them unst...

Re: Starter motor ?
The starter was new a year ago. Its annoying as itll start ok ten times, play up and then be ok again . I did however find that the + battery clamp was pretty loose so this may be the cause ?, especially as its under the seat.

handbrake adjustment
Am I right in thinking that the only way to take up any slack on the handbrake is the nut on the balance bar just in front of the gearbox ?. Typically, the nut is rusted on and don't want to brute force it and cause more damage.

Fuel filler caps
Simply, is there a difference between early and late ?. I bought a cap from a company on ebay, it didn't fit. I bought another cap from Hella, it too doesn't fit. I'm stumped and stuck with a temp fuel cap bought from a garage. Can I MOT with this temp cap in place ?, it did say so on the info with ...

Re: revs high and strange cable !!
Well, once again may I extend a disgustingly large thank you to you all for the help and guidance. Reattaching the spring on the choke has cured the problem, and J now understand how the choke works on my van .

Re: revs high and strange cable !!
Pics would be excellent, thank you . I did blip the throttle and hoped that it would settle right down again, it didn't sadly. As I look at the cam there are two springs wrapped around it. The spring on the right appears to have come adrift at one end and needs to be hooked onto something. Might thi...

Re: revs high and strange cable !!
Thank you for the tips on sorting the spring out. I now have the choke flap closed shut when cold and after ten mins of the engine running, its fully open. The problem is that when the flap is open the revs are still at abot 3000 !!. Ive slackened off the adjusting screw so much its almost out of th...

Is the dog the white plastic bit at 12 o clock ?. Does this fit into the squared end on the spring ?.
