Fuel filler caps

Post by Tony Tone »

Simply, is there a difference between early and late ?.

I bought a cap from a company on ebay, it didn't fit. I bought another cap from Hella, it too doesn't fit. I'm stumped and stuck with a temp fuel cap bought from a garage. Can I MOT with this temp cap in place ?, it did say so on the info with the cap.

More puzzling, why don;t the caps fit ?. My van is a 1983

Hello Tony,

My camper is also a 1983 and I bought my petrol cap from Brickwerks and it fits well. I wouldn't like to put it through MOT with a temporary one. Don't give them any reason to fail it.

Might replace my van sliding door with one of those

I've had a look around, all the fuel caps I've seen... claim to fit "all" T25's
