hellodepends what 4 spd one it is? if it is a diesel yes it will fit straight on but it will have shocking gearing for a petrol engine so what you need is a petrol 4spd i am going to use an abd code for my AGG converson but the DK box's are apparently strongest. but you have to change the petrol inp...

As the Reimo is similar to Westy one i think the principle should be the same. If your leaving the back part of the van roof on then you will need a support for the bed board, this will then hinge out towards the front, but you will need something to support it as Westies have a lip. mmmm i see lots to think about there then because all i can get from others going from petrol to gti is that they just use the petrol gearbox mount set up it was just the linkage i wasnt it of sure of but that has given me a bit of food for thought , i think i better look into it futher and ask a fe...

yeah i got that it is currently a 1.9 petrol water cooled ABD code gearbox 1985 van. i wanted to put a DK in as i have one sat in my garage but if it means changing all the drive shafts ect i dont think i will bother. but i am going to be doing an agg conversion which uses the diesel engine bars so ...

right understood i think i will stick with my ABD then as i have all the driveshafts, mounts linkage ect and get rid of the DK i think that would be less hastle. yeah i have the bellhousing just need to get the input shaft and bolts. so the other thing i would need to get is the diesel rear linkage ...

ah good well that is another thing cleared up, going to try to buy the whole car rather than buying an engine, loom, ecu ect sepperatly should work out cheeper if i can find a fairly low millage one plus the looms on ebay dont look big enough to be complete tbh
