Not worked on the 1.9 but back to basics, have you got the filter before the pump? iv known it happen where the pipes have been put on a pump the wrong way round so worth checking, take the pipe to the carb off the pump and get someone to turn the engine over you should get fuel pumping out? if not ...

As said check the spade connection on the soleniod, if it's ok try giving the soleniod a few heavy taps with a hammer or something then try starting it. If it goes then its sticking and means a new starter wanted as it will stick again.

glass and tilt

Can anyone tell me if I have to get glass cut for the rear door and opposit panel for my crew cab or can you buy it ready to fit?

Also wheres the best place to go to get a tilt frame and canvus for the rear of the crew cab (Not plastic type covering but heavy duty canvus).

Done the glow plugs and never want to do them again some of you guys must be double jointed and have long thin fingers, I had so much trouble getting them out with the bus bar due to brakets under the pump that the bus bar has gone over my shoulder and I have done link wires to each plug which made ...

Thanks mate but with hands like shovels they dont fit in small places very well, and as for wiki im a bit of a thiki at finding things.

glow plugs

I have to replace the glow plugs on my 16td crew cab and looking at them its no easy task to reach them, whats the best way or do I have to remove the pump or just the injector pipes?

Looks like yet another vehicle then if I can find one? need a crew cab though as I need to carry bales of hay for the nags. (Should have said the other nags as not including her indoors)

Hi Mike, No it just spins over on the starter but nothing happening... was small puffs of condensation from the silencer then a big cloud as the engine shut down.

Hi Stewart, Pritty sure it's the head gasket as the engine cut out as soon as it blew due to lost compression, would spin over on the starter but nothing else but will be sticking my head in the engine bay this weekend to have a good look so will check out what you;ve suggested. Lots of steam

Got 10 miles yesterday morning going to work and big cloud of steam from the rear of the crew cab, got to be the head gasket blown so thinking is it time to upgrade the engine or just repair the 1600 D, been one thing after another lately.

Crew Cab Windows

I want to fit windows in the rear side sections of my crew cab (rear door and opposit wall) it looks like cut outs are already there but what windows fit as I cannot find any mentioned anywhere?
