Re: DAB Radio & Aerial
I have kept the standard aerial and bought a DAB splitter, this enables the stock aerial to be used with your dab radio. Works well.

The filter inside the reservoir is a free thing to check, could be blocked.

Re: Take off point Westy gas tank - connector, hose
Jo public will/should be sold (i think) 1M lengths. Go into a plumber merchants or buy on line and you can get it in longer measurements. Pretty sure mine is around 5M, (think it came from you martin?.. meaning its probably past its date now...) that size means it can reach to anywhere around the van.

8mm, like this
https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/gas-hose-8mm.html?___SID=U" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
can be picked up anywhere like b&q plumbing shops ect. but if your buying the connector from brickwerks you might as well add it to the order

Re: Sump plug valve type oil leak
With that type of plug it doesn't seal on the threads, but the chamfered bit on the end. There will be a corresponding chamfer in the hole on the sump. Maybe shine a torch in there and see if its damaged/scratched.

Re: installing solar power in a westy
The only thing that puts me off the roof mounting is the fact I have a westy pop top, meaning I may find myself trying to camp to get sun on the panels rather than the best position for camping.

As you say you can just fit another in the van, or a pricier option is to buy a regulator off gunzle.. He did used to to sell a direct replacement for the westy one.

Re: installing solar power in a westy
whats the biggest panel someone has put on their roof? I have seen there is now a 250w semi flexible panel available. Size wise it would just fit from skylight to the end of the roof, and is a little bit narrower than the roof is wide. My thinking is with one that big, if the angle isn't quite right...

id suggest removal and a good clean of the pilot jet and surrounding parts could cure the issue.

amazon might be a bit slow.. could always try a petrol station 1st, they normally have emergency ones for sales. Just the type that push on.
