Plastic breather pipe split
I have taken off my fuel expansion tanks. Both have screw holes in the top and one of the plastic pipes that connects to the Breather valve in the top is split. Any idea where I can get some more of the plastic pipe. Also one of the plastic flutes on the end is also missing so need one of these too....

Re: VW Rev Counter Retrofit
Got it in and working by turning the little frequency dial on the back even without the 10v regulator.
However when I start her up again I need to wiggle the screw dial on the back to get it working. I’m going to try with the 10v regulator and report back.

Re: Broke down again
Have had so many brake downs but bow down to those more knowledgeable. All above and then. Idle jet (unscrew and put a single strand of wire through it) screw back to same position I think air somewhere fuel filter (I have a spare if you like but they are relatively cheap) fuel pump battery (...

Re: VW Rev Counter Retrofit
Thx. Where I am at present is It looks like the diesel tacho will need a converter to work on a petrol even after adding the w wire (there seems to be conflicting info about this) I could get a converter or get a Chinese taco and take out the circuit board. I would buy the converter but I can’t find...

Re: VW Rev Counter Retrofit
Tried testing with a battery charger on the coil. No difference but I did kill the coil🤦🏻 FYI I think I have a diesel tachometer on a dg1.9 petrol. Has anyone successfully used a diesel tacho in a petrol. If so am I on the right track? W wire , 10v Or have I missed something. I have just checked the...

Re: Cab door seals...
Thanks Guys. I have put a new one in the passenger door I got from notch1500 vw parts and although stiff, it’s much better then my other ones.
I will leave it a little while and see how it compresses.

Re: VW Rev Counter Retrofit
I have taken alternator apart and added the cable so I can make the tachometer work. I have tested it and it’s sending a variable current with acceleration. I tested the rev counter using the method above but connected it to a 12v battery and the alternator cable. Pin 1 12v battery minus Pin 2 TCA f...

Re: Cab door seals...
I was supposed to be fitting these today but the morning ran away and then it was too warm to be playing with glue. So I trial fitted them "dry" and can barely shut the doors! Where can I get seals that are the correct section and softness? These came via Brickwerks iirc, supposed to be b...

Re: Front passenger jacking point toast
Thanks, looking at a bottle jack and trying to figure out where I will get a bit of steel from. Is the rigger the bit running along the side of the bus underneath the sill?
Thx
