Re: to$$$er
If he says he can drive it down I don't understand why he didn't do this in the first place rather than abandon it near the top?

Re: Campsite suggestions in Anglesey or North Wales
I've just been to a nice one in Bennlech on Anglesey, great location with sea views.
Its called Golden Sunset caravan park. Pubs, shops, etc in walking distance.

Re: Declaring height for ferry to France
I wouldn't risk it myself. When I took my high top on the ferry I couldn't go on the high deck and had to stay on the bottom with the lorries. If they didn't have space for you on the bottom and you couldn't fit in the top you could be ferry less. Unless someone comes on and says they do this all th...

Can you get to Pembrokeshire in five hours? I've seen people on here talk about a nice camp site, cheap one at bosherston. Good surf round there.

Re: M6 Toll - avoid!
I wonder if you edge very slowly up the sensor if it will class you as a car. On French toll barriers if you edge up very slowly it thinks you're a car and the ticket thing comes out the bottom slot. If you go flying up it thinks you;re a HGV and you have to reach up to get the ticket out the top sl...

Re: Camping without an awning costs!
I used to have a drive away awning but hated it and got one of those big Qercha pop up tents instead, the ones you can stand up in. However the footprint of it is still smaller than the awning. Whenever I've booked at a campsite I've just booked as a motorhome and awning - never had a problem. Not e...

Re: Wild camping horncastle
There's a village called Hemmingby nearby which has a road coming north out of it called Green Lane. Big wide green verges and I have seen campervans parked here overnight before. You can't miss the lane, its the main road (but very quiet) through the village. Or google Snipe Dales which is a bit ou...

Re: Damage Barton caravan and Camping
North Morte Farm camping site is a bit nearer the beach. I've stayed at Damage Barton before and we tried to walk to the beach and gave up. But I reckon from Mortehoe you could probably walk, though would still probably be a bit of a trek. Campsites in Croyde would be nearer the beach but then I thi...

Wold Farm looks lovely. Will definetly have to check that out - I'd like to go to Bempton in a bit when the puffins are about. Would also like to go to Flamborough Lighthouse on one of their open days. Ian - is the walk along the cliff top from the campsite in the RSPB nature reserve - just wonderin...

Re: Yorkshire- East Coast
Don't get me wrong - we loved it, had a great time. I just wouldn't go back, I think its a "go there once to see it and not go back type of place". We only had Friday and this morning there as had to be back home this afternoon. We went to Sewerby Hall on Friday morning which was great, go...

Re: Khyam Motordome Sleeper - to buy or not to buy???
I had one and sold it, didn't like it. I was maybe put off by the first time I used it one of the joints snapped, managed to just about keep it propped up for the holiday though. Thought it made the van dark and was a pain getting the van lined up again with it. Kept getting the material hooked up o...
