Hi,
Does anyone know if the 3 way multi pin mini connector, especially the one on the side of the distributor is a standard connector or peculiar to VW.
Mine needs replacing as the wiring into the pins need to be replaced. (1988 1.9 DG)
Thanks
Don

Re: Wiring connectors
What's actually wrong with the plug? I only have to use new plugs when making looms for fitting electronic ignition to bays otherwise I just rewire them.

Re: Wiring connectors
Hi,
Problem now solved.
The plug or housing became a bit 'bent' when removing the terminals. That's the terminals that clip in and are not meant to come out.
The original problem was that the wire (s) into the terminal was down to one strand. Anyway new terminals purchased. VW do the mini terminals with a length of wire attached. So put them into the housing and solder the other end to the original wiring. I can reuse the old plug/housing.
The housing part number should anyone want one is 211905327
