I'm yet to experience this too, need to sort out my rear locker first. Hoping its just a blocked pipe, and an easy fix as its not working at the moment, doesn't light up when I pull the knob.

i did`nt take any chances for my big day, i`ve got a caravelle in the garage waiting for a camper conversion and i knew that everything worked on that so i swapped everything over, front and back just to make sure that i didnt get there and find out that the vc was fubar or the diffs didnt work,i will say though that the rear locker only started working properly after an oil change, before that it was a bit hit and miss and sometimes didnt want to release, but what a feeling when you`re buried in the mud, take a deep breath , pull a couple of knobs and off you go, genius!!!  (leave the pulling a couple of knobs statement alone that would be way to easy)
