trumatic e-1800 parts, supplier info
Hey guys
I need a flu kit for my heater as im moving its location slightly. Local caravan suppliers tell me they dont supply parts for them any more.
Any ideas where I can get one? Its the concentric flu, waste gas in the middle and air inlet around the main pipe.
Thanks!

My old truma parts catalogue gives the pipe diameters as 22mm & 49 mm.
Can you check whether this is the inside diameter or outside diameter.
I will measure the pipe diameters on a later heater. If they are the same then problem solved.
Are you reusing your flue teminal? I am fairly certain the rectangular flue teminal is no longer available. However if the pipe sizes were the same or near enough a later terminal might be ok ?
Truma parts are available from http://www.miriad-products.com/
If you want I could scan and upload the pages from my old catalogue.

Re: trumatic e-1800 parts, supplier info
Thanks dented Devon
I've got a 22mm outer diameter on the exhaust of the unit, and a 46mm outer diameter on the fresh air inlet. I'm guessing that the 49mm pipe the parts catalogue lists would have been clamped down to it. The exhaust needs to be a tight fit so is exactly 22mm with a rubber o ring to seal it.
Does this fit with the newer parts?
Thanks for helping!

Re: trumatic e-1800 parts, supplier info
The later inner & outer flue pipes are 30mm and 60mm inside diameter, so not any help.
The part numbers for the originals are
Inner 39160-00 , AA1 dia 22mm
Outer 39170-00 , ZR10 dia 49mm
Try ringing MIRIAD directly to check availability.
If they cannot help it would mean sourcing pipe from else where.
Remember that the flue is a safety critical item so the pipe used must be to the same standard as original.
If I have any more ideas I will let you know.

22mm is the size exhaust used on the smaller Webasto and Eberspacher heaters. Just get a length off Ebay. What material is the current outer pipe?

Hi DD. I will have a look on Miriad. Thanks for the part numbers!
Hi Oldie. I currently have a floor flu thats one piece and the heater slides straight onto it so I dont know for sure, but from pictures online the outer pipe looks like the same corrugated ally that the heater output pipe is.

Re: trumatic e-1800 parts, supplier info
The original outer flue pipe consisted of an inner fibre (looks like cardboard) layer, covered with a foil layer with a water resistant outer black plastic coating.
It serves 2 purposes, 1 - to duct the air in to the burner & 2 - to protect you and your vehicle from the hot exhaust flue running inside it.
The flexible flue pipe is used for side or roof flue terminals.
The under floor flue is normally connected direct to the heater or via a 90 deg elbow.
The inner flue pipe must seal properly or the heater will consume its own exhaust gasses leading to poor running , sooting up and the production of carbon monoxide !
For the same reason the under floor flue should be located with as much space around it as possible so the exhaust gasses can disperse.
Here is the original parts catalogue , sorry but I dont have user or installation instructions.

That's great information thanks. I think then that the currugated foil type outer you linked to would be a suitable substitute. I have the floor cowl, sounds like eberspracher exhaust pipe and foil outer between it and the unit will effectively mimic part 111 below.
Its amazing how much there is to consider when altering the layout of these things!
Thanks for all the help, I truly appreciate it.

Because the hot exhaust gasses rise , they exiting ABOVE the fresh air inlet on the original under floor flue.
When I bench test truma appliances at work they usually run best with a proper trma flue terminal on them.

I do have the real floor cowl, part 112 on the diagram. Are you suggesting that isn't ok to use with a duct and flu between it and the unit?

Fanastic. That's what I will do then. Putting the unit on its side saves a ton of useable space.

Hi, great info on this topic. I too need bits for my Truma E1800 which is working fine, but the twin inlet/exhaust pipes need re-placing. I have found some 24mm Eberspacher exhaust pipe. Does anyone know if this refers to the outer diameter, as my inner diam is 22mm i think? Similarly, i can get 49mm for the outer inlet pipe, but my internal diameter seems to be 46mm. Myriad have the 49mm but no exhaust and all other flue parts are unavailable.
