Insulation Behind Fuel Tank

Post by Oilline »

Just wrestled the fuel tank out of my Syncro to do the tank straps. Really surprised by what good condition the body is hidden behind there.
Just wondering do people replace the foam insulation panel that sits behind the tank. It looks looks a dirt and water trap to me.
If its best to keep it then is that insulation available as a new part and also are the spring clip retainers available as mine are a bit rusty.
