Post by syncropete »

Hi everyone. Not posted in a while ,but read everyday - always keeps me entertained! Just wanted to post a few pictures of our new van. Just fitted the gearbox and we are planning a roadtrip to St louis Jazz festival in Senegal. Hope everything else is OK on the van.

Cool!
Headlight washers and heated drivers seat... swedish/scandinavian market spec? Was it from up here originally perhaps? Interesting in hearing more about it's history :) Have seen the same kind of seats in the back here aswell.

E D I T: and swedish dealer spec mudflaps, most definitely from here originally!

Hi Pete, hope you guys are very well. That's a really nice bus, looks like a factory job with those nice options and those very VW-looking seats. Are you planning a big family then ?

The van belonged to a hot air balloon company in stockholm. It was sold to here about 5 years ago and never really used. Luckily the gearbox broke. It is amazing underneath - doesnt look like its been driven in salt. It will be nice to have power steering and especially AC, coming into the rainy season. Andy - one is ok for now!
Pete.

Nice bus.

I was talking to a fella called Irwin today via Campervanculture who sourced your van when it was blue and white.
