Hi all.
Just ran out of petrol and I have put a can of fuel in but now my van is running like "pooh" and back firing and stalling. Any ideas please.

Re: Help
WHS ^^^^^^^^ If it was ok before running out of fuel, the filter just after the tank is where I'd start. I'm in Plymouth if you're still having problems at the weekend.
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.

Re: Help
Petrol in a can goes stale so to compound your woes you may have put crap fuel in as well as all the junk in the filter (and hopefully not the carb !)

Fuel issue
Firstly sorry for the topic post. Forgot and was having a heart attack as it's a new van and all that.
Secondly it was the crap from that tank. Filled it up and shoved a drop of redex in and she is good as new.
Even I'm not that darft. But as I said I panicked it's a new van etc.
Any way thanks for the help and the swift responses and sorry for the original title.
