JX Turbo

Post by Mr Soft »

Hi all,

It's been a while! I have just been told that my turbo is worn. I have a 1.6 TD (JX) lump. Are the tubo's still available new? If so, how much can I expect to pay?
If not, are there any decent alternatives/refurbished items out there? Again, how much?

Any help would be good.

Thanks for looking in!

they are good by all accounts, i used a company called midland turbo as they will rebuild your if its servicable for a bit cheaper (mine ended up needing a new one) if its not servicable, they are about the same price as byard
mine looked pretty good when i received it.

Thanks Lloydy,
I have never changed a turbo so don't know the ins & outs! How easy are they to remove/re-fit? Is there setting up to do once fitted, or are they plug & play, assuming that any nuts/bolts aren't seized or don't snap!!

its plug and play, nuts can be an issue, had to grind mine off, but the new turbo came with new studs. so no problem really
