Which diesel pump do I have and is it missing something??

Post by Hacksawbob »

Just trying to get to grips with what I have. It's an AAZ fitted by the PO. I was talking to Andy McSyncro and looking at the various bits he had for sale and noticed my pump was slightly different than the JX one he had notably no LDA, or at least a different one. So I deally I would like to determine what my pump is. I cleaned it up as best as I could but I cant see a part number. (Click on the thumbnail for larger images)

Here is the can on the top is this the LDA? should this have a vacuum hose attached to the hose tail bottom left? something to do with adding boost at higher speeds?

Hi Bob, the bit at the top is the LDA and the connection on the top should have a small hose which is then connected to the inlet manifold.

One end goes on top of the LDA and the other onto the bolt on spigot on the inlet manifold next to where the rubber turbo pipe connects.
