What a great weekend we just had.

Post by jed the spread »

Well our Westy has been out of action for the last four months as its been having a new TDI engine fitted thats an absolute joy to drive and has so much more power now its like driving a T5 I am sure. We set about moving back in early Saturday morning and decided to head off down to The New Forest for the night. What a blast, there was hardly anyone around and after spending a while on a rope swing and having a really good long bike ride we settled down for the night. When we woke this morning the sun was out and it was hot, hard to think it was snowing two weeks ago and the forest was full of wood pecker's, butterflys, huge ants nests, as well as the usual horses everywhere. After breakfast we headed off on a couple of long walks climbing trees etc and then had a very relaxing picnic and did what felt like sun bathing too for a while

Now the camper is back in its best state yet and we can go away again and spend the time we so look forward to together as a family again I am going to bed this evening with a big old smile on my face

No not this time. We stayed at Setthorns, it was about £13 because we dont bother with the C&C club so could be really quite cheap if anyone is a member and have paid the subscription all ready. We like to camp up the top in the trees and there is a good bike trail that follows an old railway line that has been removed and it really flat and easy.

That swing looks familiar Jed. We were there a couple of years ago.

Setthorns is a great place - still got the pics you took Jed as my laptop wallpaper! Not been this year due the van throwing a cam belt - not good but should have it back soon (sounds as if I should have gone down the TDi route) - then it'll be setthorns first up.
