wheel nuts

Post by trucker »

I have just fitted some VW Pepperpot Alloys O/G on Dehlers etc.
I got the correct nuts bolts(tapered) from B/werks, the nuts I have for the rears are open ended ones, I have noticed the thread does not go through them all the way. I counted 14 turns before they are tight, Is this sufficient?
If it is I shall order some closed end ones as it looks scarey to me.
I'm certain these wheels like carats shouldn't need longer studs but ....
Thanks

if they are not flush with the nuts the studs are not long enough, and also not safe

Thanks, confirmed what I thought I'll get some longer studs ordered.
Weird though every body I spoke to thought these pepperpot atiwe alloys were just a straight swap like the standard carat ones :?
