Hi all
I've got the interior of my van to the stripped out to the insulated stage, thermowrap taped to the panels then a layer of space blanket. As stated in an earlier post I would like to fit a fridge but the van is a twin slider. decided this weekend that the way forward would be to get a couple of tabs welded on to the O/S slider b post to keep it shut and cut an opening in the door for the fridge vent (none of which I have done yet). Had a phone call from a friend last night who has a friend in Germany who imports T25 Twin slider ambulances from South Africa and turns them into campers. He has said he can't get TUV approval on a 3 way fridge on these vehicles because the draught from the door seal can blow the pilot light out so now he only fits electric fridges.
Any ideas folks? what about spraying expanding foam around door? seems a shame though

Re: Twin slider fridge fitment
I saw a van down in Newquay that was a twin slider he had put the fridge with a seal around it and it was against the sliding door then if needed he could open the door and get to all his services!

Hi James
Thanks for the reply! I've posted a couple of times on this topic but had no takers, must have everyone stumped this one. where was the seal can you remember? was it between the back of the fridge and the vent in the door? or around the door opening?. The only appliances I intend to fit are a fridge and a double burner hob/grill. We had a T4 conversion before and never used the sink once, we always use the wash up facility on campsites or boil a kettle full of water and wash up outside in a flexi tub bucket. But we are fed up of binning brown lettuce, melted margerine, and stale milk

If any body else ends up doing has much head scratching as me over this layout. do what I did last night and google, VW Twin slider, camper interior.
It put me on to the 'Camper Shack' website that has a customer gallery with expandable thumb nails, layout ideas galore. None of the T25s showcased appearded to have a 3 way fridge, but all had space a Waeco style electric fridge, I'll have to get saving, shame I've already had Xmas and my birthday this year already!

Re: Twin slider fridge fitment
there should be no draught from the door seal as thats why its fitted!
i have known peeps to vent out of the door handle hole so as to not cut the door and keep it looking neat..
my dad has a holdsworth interior in his twin slider.
as said previous door is opened for access to cupboard rear if needed+ there is room for the jack and whhel brace .
no probs with gas

Thanks Billy
I like the venting through door handle Idea
would it be a pain to post a picture of your dads interior? if not thanks anyway
Kind regards Paul
