Odd Electrical Problem

Post by benlk »

Hello and help...

I'm currently putting my van back together after painting and when I plugged my rear light cluster back in the front washer started squirting!!

A couple of months back when removing the tow bar and and socket my mate chopped the wires in one hit with pliers (battery still connected - doh!), causing the front washer to squirt. Those wires are now fully isolated so there's no short there.

The squirt happened when connecting either left or right rear cluster. The two events are most likely related - any ideas????

Ben :?

more than likely they are linked, as usual check all the earth points up front and then make sure you haven't connected any wire back to front!

have a look at the wiki for info on locations of electrical connections!
