Petrol tank
I've just dropped the tank to swop the wiring loom and the dredded breather pipes came off to but the one that has got me is the plastic one that goes across the tank, this one went over the water pipes so no matter how carefull i was it was coming off, it seems to me that this would be better running under the water pipes has anyone else come across this

Re: Petrol tank
Agree. Could be that the water pipes have been off/replaced and were fed through that way?

And of course, whether you still have the plastic retaining fastener attached in the middle of that breather pipe under the tunnel.......also makes things much more awkward to refit.

Re: Petrol tank
leave as was made.
you lift the tank up and push the plastic y ends into the tank once fitted.
put the rubber grommets into the tank first , smear of gease to help seal and will go in very easily once tank fitted
