Just read it over again, looks like box is missing too. Would make good doner for rotten van but would cost loads to by bits one by one.

Interesting. He talks of breaking it... But there's nothing left on it worth breaking it for... Diff shafts and box all gone. He's created a two wheel drive syncro. I think someone's already broken it and taken all the value.

The only individual this could appeal to is someone with a rusty diesel syncro at home with a holed body but a sound drive train which could be transplanted... All of us in that position say aye!

Looking forward to someone going to see this, he says its straight And doesnt need any welding, but the cab steps look a bit dubious and the bottom of the cill has been painted black from what I can make out. If the body is straight, it's because the bumpers have taken all the knocks then. And the mots about to run out and he's elected not to retest it.

1500 quid, to rich for me. I agree with stan on this one.

What's the item no ? I must have at least one Syncro here in boxes, just lacking a shell...

Scratch that, found it. Agree it needs looking at. Probably got enough projects anyway.

it depends really. if it to convert back to syncro maybe not. budget could be £2000 for all the bits needed. add that to £1500 and you`d be at £3.5K add labour to fit and you maybe in to buy and drive away territory.

saying that i suppose a tidy panel van has to be worth £4k+, may not be such a bad deal ???????

This was on Gumtree over Christmas for £1100 IIRC in Norwood or somewhere similar

Was advertised as a Syncro so phoned the guy the night it was listed and found it had no front end mechanically speaking. Was low mileage though so asked for some pics.

Next day it was gone fom Gumtree so someone moved fast!

Looking at the sellers feedback he moves quite a lot of VW/motorhome parts so guess he is trading in breaking, probs bought it for about £900 I reckon......

I bought 2 syncro panel vans last year. Both cost £1600, both with mot and tax. One was 1.9DG petrol, the other was a 1.9AAZ diesel.
Reckon the parts are £2k and the labour ??

Probably worth £950 to £1000.

New vans are great but they just ain't got no soul!
