did they mae t3's diesel, and automatic

Post by dink »

a friend has a t3 automatic,with a 1.9 DG motor
talking to him about his bus, he'd like a bit more ecomony
what's the chances of being able to fit a diesel motor to an auto box
is there a slight chance that an auto box has a removalbe/ interchangeable bell housing
other wise his busmight have to go :(

Unfortunately I don't think VW did make an auto diesel (given the engines it would have been pretty frigging dire).

Best option for your mate is to LPG the 1.9, which will reduce your fuel costs.... just make sure your engine's in rude health before you LPG it.

Search the alt engines board for more information (it's there, unless it's been pruned).
