Hi all.
Thought i could smell petrol.... my 2.1 petrol fuel line which emerges with another pipe from the bulk head and looks to disapear up over the fuel tank has perished (engin bay side). Its spraying like a good un!!! I would prefer to replace the whole line but am unsure where it goes after leaving the bulkhead. I will replace all the pipes leading to the injection systems either side while I'm at it but can anyone advise on the other?? I assume the tank would have to come out??? The main pipe which seems to have gone leads to a tri connector by where the fuel pump would have gone...hope i've described that ok.
Just when I had thought I had done everything???
Thanks
Paul

Re: Fuel line perished !!! Where does it go???
if i understand your description correctly Lloydie the leaking pipe your on about comes from the fuel filter which is mounted behind the near side rear coil spring mount.Mine sprung a leak in the same pipe and i replaced the full section without removing the tank by undoing it from the filter and joining a new piece of fuel pipe to it, then from inside the engine bay pulling the old pipe from the bulkhead......if that makes sense

Sounds promising if its that one. There seems to be 2 pipes coming into the engine bay at the same point though. But it looks as if this is the 'feed' and so coming from the fuel filter I suppose. will have a look in the daylight. Pipe is very tight between bulkhead and tank. Must be hard to feed a pipe through???
Thanks again
Thanks again

it was a while ago and i had replaced the fuel tank after a previous engine fire so its possible that i rerouted the feed pipe when i put the new tank in, might be worth disconecting it at both the tee pice and the fuel filter and blowing through it to confirm its the same pipe and then running a new fuel line in along a different route.the other pipe may be the return to the tank?

Thanks for info. Have now looked in the Bentley manual and I think you are right. Will try and run a pipe along original.
Thanks again

Anyone got a photo showing this location? I can't seem to see mine. Looking on drivers side as mine is LHD.
