Hi, could anyone tell me the difference between a Cf6 & Cf8 as I seem to be able to find many versions of the pdf manual for the Cf8 however I have a Cf6 in my van and would like to check the wiring but would like the manual before I start... Also one more thing, do I need to fit a split charge relay system to my leisure battery (did not have one when I got Van recently) so its not wired in, or can Ijust wire it to my Zig unit ?
Cheers
Pete

The zig unit in my van (1984) had a sticker that said CF8 on it, but under the sticker CF6 was etched in the plate. Maybe you've got a CF8 with the sticker missing?
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.

Thanks Boxy, you may be right, I've read that they are very similar and you can use the cf8 manual but just wondered if anyone knew for sure. I have emailed Zig.com so will hopefully get a reply tomorrow.
Thanks

you can wire it through the zig. you have to manually switch it away from mains on the big switch. all it does is link the starter and leisure batteries when you drive and when you pitch up you switch it the other way so it doesnt drain the starter battery.

As far as I'm aware the CF6 and CF8 are identical except for the actual fascia
