Due to the scarcity of dash pods I am wondering if anyone knows if there is another model dash that would fit my 87 kamper? I am not bothered about originality, just want the oil buzzer to stop beeping, the dash light to work properly and the frontlights to not be a gamble as to whether they stay on main beam and my local mechanic to stop bugging me that I need a new dash!!! The dash I have is the one with the clock on the RHS and I think has 805 written on the speedo. Anything that fits will be considered.

Thanks for the heads up Cov Kid, although it wasn't what I wanted to hear!!! Back to the hunt then I suppose :cry:

Plenty of dashpods come up on ebay.

The plastic dashpod itself is the same for most models (without the digital clock) and it's just the temp/fuel guages that are early / late specific

So if you are just after the dashpod housing then buy any and just swap your pcb and clocks into it

This is not a dash problem, will be column switch or relay fault (unless you just mean the main beam warning light not always working?).
Oil buzzer could be switch, earths behind fusebox on n/s, or dash connections. If it's bad multipin connections on back of dash, peel back blue plastic film to reveal good copper strips, trim back black plastic tab (or remove and make smaller one out of suitable plastic) and refit plug to fit on shortened pcb connector.

Thought of that Cruz, but I think it's the gubbins inside that are the issue! I have looked at the PCB and I think it's in a pretty bad state to be honest. It may be just the PCB bit. I was hoping to just swap the whole thing. is it particularly difficult to swap just the PCB?

Thats if you can find a good one. One or two of us have hardwired our dashpods in frustration. Can be done but advisable to draw the layout on paper first and salvage existing resistors for LEDs etc.

No it is very easy to swap the pcb just take your time and don't overtighten anyhting which can cause the sun aged plastics to snap

You just need a philips screwdriver and a 7mm socket.

I assumed, like in my case, that the plastic casing had snapped in several places where the several screw points are. Nearly all the mounts on my old dash had broken badly
