Driveshaft Rubber Damper

Post by RichardF »

Could someone please confirm which end of the shaft has the rubber damper?
I removed the shaft 2 years ago for repair and can't find any note I might have made (getting a bit old).
Bentley Manual says "damper faces transmission". For me, the drive shaft is part of the transmission. :?
Is "transmission" American for "gearbox", i.e. the damper is at the forward end of the shaft?
Don't force it - get a bigger hammer!
