T25 coil spring

Post by vwhobo »

Hi, I see from the wiki/Brickwerks that a T25 coil spring with Yellow (and sometimes white) paint dabs on is from a (commercial) van whereas minibus/kombi with windows had springs with 2 blue paint dabs on. Does anyone know if they're pretty much the same? My van has a spring with yellow & white code but I can only locate a replacement with 2 blue paint dabs. Is this likely to be OK? Will I notice any difference? (I guess it's got to be better than a broken spring on one side!). Chris.

Thanks for replies. Two yellow springs in post to me now. But I'd still be interested if anyone has the answer - is there any difference between blue rear springs used on passenger-carrying T25s and yellow springs used on commercials? Are they inter-changeable or are they likely to have differing compression resistances?
