After reading 4k resto, i have decided to do my van bit by bit, now the only problem is i'm gonna have to use an electric spray gun, has anyone used one of these before and what was the outcome like? I've used air compresser ones before with no probs, so am hoping the electris ones will be ok.
not sure which ones your on about but most of the electric ones ive seen are good for spraying fences and sheds and thats about it, inconsistant pressure, spitting and uncontrolable paint feed are a few things that spring to mind. i know some folk have had god results with certain things, like there was a guy who lived a few doors up the road from me who, many years ago painted his hilman imp with a hoover that had a reverse on it outside with celly the result was not bad if my memory serves me well.
Hi Peggy,
Sorry.
You can paint your van using a paint roller.
If you look in the Wiki section you will find all the info you want and if you can't we are here to help.

Something like the Apollo Spraymate would probably give good results. It's a HVLP turbine system, rather than a piston-type one. The piston type ones spit like crazy.
i used an electric piston type some years ago for re spraying a Beetle and a type 2 baywindow, if the paint was thinned correctly using a viscous cup i got an excellent finish as good as anything coming out of a show room.
