Hello,

Are you confident to do the carb overhaul yourself. :?: :?:

If so, before buying a kit, you can clean out the carb, paying particular attention to the main jet at the bottom of the reservoir bowl, (all these bits are made of brass)

I clean mine in an ultrasonic bath, but compressed air will do.

DONT POKE WITH A WIRE

If it was running ok before then dont change any settings.

Reassemble carb onto manifold DRY. (no goop)

Cordialement,

:ok

PS...
before you buy a kit ensure that all avenues of fuel delivery have been explored.
in particular air leaks and autochoke settings and fuel pump
ensure your timing is correct and that plugs, leads and cap/arm are in good order

Check for any signs of play (up/down) in throttle shaft. Any movement there will mean it runs badly at idle.
