wannabe syncronaut

Post by Holydiver »

Been wanting a sycro for some years now but not selling my westy Atlantic because it's far to go and know I'll never find another van as good, so will have to save for one.
Although I like the thought of having one I've never seen one in action (other than vid's on youtube) so was wondering if I turned up at one of your meeting would someone have a spare seat going for a passenger?? willing to chip in and help where poss.

I'm in Clevedon (M5 J20) so if anyone's doing a local event I'd be interested in coming along.

Cheers
Gary

I think the main problem with that is that if the Atlantic is really good do you really want to off road it?

The Westy I bought from you (Stan) is too good to be abused properly off road.

If you want to off road buy something that has body work to suit.

One thing I will say is they a good portion more expensive to run than a 2wd, but worth every penny!!

... and in the English language ....

I have wanted to buy a Syncro for some years now but I dont want to sell my Westfalia Atlantic to fund the purchase. It is far to good to sell and I know I would never get another one as good so I will have to save for the Syncro.
Although I like the thought of having a Syncro I've never seen one in action (other than video's on youtube) so I was wondering if I attended one of your Syncro meetings would someone allow me to join them as a passenger?? I would be willing to chip in and help where possible.

I'm willing to work for a ride!! and not bad at making a cuppa too....

Could and have looked at converting the westy but can't see I'd use it off road then because it just to good, was thinking more on the lines of a doka

I think I want a syncro; Ive heard that once people have driven in one all sense and reason leaves them and they will be prepared to sell anything; even the missus, to have one. If you could get me along to one of your events soon that would be good.

Although I like the thought of having one I've only ever seen them getting abused and damaged (like in Jed's vid's on youtube) so was wondering if I turned up at one of your meetings would I get called a tea bitch all day?? I have my own tea urn and tabard that I bought from syncropaddy and shares in Fox's biscuits.

I live in the back of beyond and am fully versed in gate opening.
