Hi all,

Tryin to get the fridge running on 12V. I've done the relay bits but am not sure about the actual fridge itself.

This is what i've got:

Where does +v and -v go to, one to each side ? there's no markings to tell me

Cheers

the two black wires on the left, into the "choccy blox"
either way, because fridges are like bulbs, they dont care about polarity, thats why the two wires are black..........

my fridge was clearly originally both gas and electric, but I acquired it without the electric paraphenalia. The photo on this thread made me loningly wonder if there was any way of getting hold of same i.e. electric bits. Any ideas where I might try

Thanks, got it goin ! Do I need the exhaust thing connected if im just using batteries ?

No sure where to get the electric trickery, maybe someone has or knows where a fridge is you could salvage some bits from.

Alough the 12v stuff in that picture is all there is that I can see, a chocy box and a switch. If you've still got your two black wires coming from the back of the fridge it'd be simple enough to make something up ..... maybe :!:

Cheers,

Mark :)

many thanks, that's very useful indeed, if I can get hold of a suitable thermostat, I shold easily be able to make that up and see if it works, even without the stat, I can try the 12V side only
Thanks again
