Coincidence? Fan started making noise after coolant changed.

Post by Zebedee »

Not certain this should be in the Electrical & Instrumentation section so mods feel free to move it if its in the wrong place.

I changed my caravelles coolant today and when it was all nicely bled i thought i'd try the heater out and noticed the heater fan has started making a noise like a kid riding a bike with a playing card in the spokes (remember doing that as a kid so your bike sounded a bit like a motorbike and annoyed the hell out of that old woman who used to live opposite?).

It sounds like something is in the fan but i can't see any way anything could get into it. There was nothing on the dash that could have falled into the vents either.

Do i just chalk it up to a coincidence or is there any other reason? :?

I ran the heater fan at full whack for 5 minutes and then put it back to 2 and the sound has now gone.
I think it was just complaining.

That's usually a dead leaf that has got in there.
Oh hang on T25's have a plastic "dead leaf stopper" grill behind the main grill, so maybe it wasn't that :?

Waste of a post really but I am bored at work !

If it wasn't a leaf, then it was probably some insect or alike lol
