Not actually a running problem as it's OK most days (apart from when cold starting in the damp recently) and returns decent mileage but...has always been slightly hesitant when pulling away. It always seems to need a bit of a prod on the throttle instead of a squeeze. It's just irritating!
I've got no experience of fixed-jet carbs, so what to check or rectify?
Thanks in advance

Any popping on the overrun?
As Simon rightly says, It certainly reads like a little air leak on the induction side of things... air has numerous unwanted entry points
Thanks chaps! No popping on overrun. I'll "inspect" the vac unit just incase it's let go, same for the connecting hoses. I do have a spare distributor and carb so I can always swap them (one good thing about the donor engine - it had all it's clothes on!)
